1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing the BabblerTTS website or purchasing and using our software products (BabblerTTS and BabblerASR), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Babbler Audio.

2. Products and Licensing

2.1 License Grant

When you purchase BabblerTTS or BabblerASR, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the software on your personal devices. Each license is tied to your account and may not be shared, resold, or sublicensed.

2.2 One-Time Purchase

Our products are sold as one-time purchases. You will not be charged recurring fees. Future major version upgrades may be offered as separate purchases.

2.3 Updates

Your purchase includes all updates to the current major version of the software at no additional cost.

2.4 Local Processing

All audio processing in BabblerTTS and BabblerASR occurs entirely on your device. The applications do not connect to any server, collect any data, or require an internet connection to function.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must not share your account or license key with others.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the software
• Use the software to create content that impersonates real individuals without their consent
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent license key verification or download restrictions

5. Voice Cloning Ethics

BabblerTTS includes voice cloning capabilities. You are solely responsible for how you use this feature. You must:

• Only clone voices you have explicit permission to use, or your own voice
• Not use cloned voices to deceive, defraud, or impersonate others
• Comply with all applicable laws regarding synthetic media in your jurisdiction
• Clearly disclose when audio content is AI-generated where required by law

Because all processing is local and we have no access to your audio data, enforcement of these guidelines is your responsibility.

6. Payments and Refunds

6.1 Pricing

Prices are listed in US Dollars. Sale prices and promotional discounts may change at any time without notice.

6.2 Refunds

If the software does not function as described on a supported system, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us. Refunds are issued at our discretion and will be processed through Stripe to your original payment method.

7. Intellectual Property

BabblerTTS and BabblerASR, including all code, design, and branding, are the intellectual property of Babbler Audio. Your purchase grants a license to use the software — it does not transfer ownership of the software itself.

Content you create using our software (generated speech, transcriptions) belongs to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babbler Audio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your license to use the software is revoked. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and disclaimers survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via the website.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which Babbler Audio operates.
